About

I am an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow (2025-2026) in the Department of Methodology at the London School of Economics (LSE). My research explores how gender norms change, why some resist change, and which methods best capture those dynamics.

My doctoral thesis investigated changes and continuities in gender norms governing the household division of labour in MedellĂn, Colombia, where more women have joined the labour force yet continue to take on a disproportionate share of unpaid work at home. I have also researched the impacts of violence and insecurity on caregiving practices in marginalized neighbourhoods, including community-based care.

More broadly, I am interested in how to measure difficult-to-quantify concepts such as social norms, values, aspirations, or wellbeing, particularly their more intangible dimensions. I also have a strong interest in developing games-based methods using sport, play, and movement for participatory action research.

I am a Visiting Fellow at the Department of International Development and member of the Gender Justice and Wellbeing Economy Programme at the International Inequalities Institute, LSE.
